Now you have decided on your goals and on the path to fulfilling them. However, some circumstances cause you to go off course and bend your mindset in achievement of the desired ambition? Or you have a feeling that you need to make a fresh start time and again? If you reading this, there is a great probability that you may be sabotaging or have sabotaged your ambitions time time in your life…

There are many reasons to go off course, however, for majority of the people, its usually lack of strong will power, non-belief in one’s own capacity, fear of being successful or unsuccessful or maybe a belief that you really do not deserve to succeed.

Why do we fear Success?

Sometimes the fear of coming out on the top is purely for the reason of not adapting to changes. Many individuals are usually satisfied with their existing lifestyle and they are not willing to bring about changes so easily due to uncertainty of the end result. Others like to live in complete isolation, away from the responsibilities, fame and insecurity that comes with success later, Generally speaking, success also brings along responsibilities… responsibilities which many people fear to shoulder.

Setting Unwanted Goals?

There are instances where people set goals which they really do not plan to achieve. Goals of these nature may be set in the ’spur-of-the-moment” situations, that people later realize is not really worth pursuing. Remember, the reason or situation behind achieving a particular goal needs to be strong enough to encourage the individual to go through the struggles and pain on the path laid ahead. Only a strong ‘willingness” to succeed would help people bear the difficult path of goal achievement.

So?

The first stage to overcoming the lack of interest in achievement your goal is to identify the reasons why you may be sabotaging your goals. You should rethink the goals you have set to see if it is realistic and achievable in the given time frame. For illustration, people on weight loss regime often set very high and impossible goals, such as loosing 40-50 pounds within one month. When no results are visible after the given time frame, people usually give up trying.

Secondly, ask yourself. Do you believe you can achieve the goals you have set for yourself and if you deserve it. Many fail to ask this question to themselves before starting to set any goals. You are the best person to tell you if your goals are realistic.

Then only you can succeed in your quest to overcome any obstacles in your life….
